A GREAT CHANGE!
Job 8:7 – Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. (KJV)
A “Great Change” is a common term used in describing a drastic transformation in one’s life, such as a movement from a lower rank to a higher level. Today’s Bible reading and the testimony of the creation of the earth (Genesis 1) clearly shows that God is a strong advocate of a small beginning and progressive lifestyle as wished for us in 3 John 2. Let’s examine a few examples of some great men in the scriptures who experienced a tremendous change.
First, David was a forgotten young shepherd when God prompted Samuel to ask Jesse (his father) if anyone was left before he was presented and anointed as king (1 Samuel 16). Second, Mephibosheth, who described himself as a dead dog, moved from Lodebar (a place of sorrow) to the palace (2 Samuel 9), just as Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10. Finally, by all standards, Paul was not fit to be an Apostle because of his past, but through grace, he became one of the greatest (1 Corinthians 15:9-10).
Beloved, when the world writes you off, with Christ, you can rewrite yourself in, through prayers. After all, no one can determine the cause of your life except God. That’s why I don’t care what your past is right now; maybe you are formerly a prostitute, fraudster, or you came from a poor background. Whatever it is, “Never allow them to push you to the ground; for your glorious future is a certainty in Christ” (Jeremiah 29:11). If you repent and say, Lord! Here I am, I need a great change; He will give your life meaning!
PRAYER
Hymn: Higher Ground – Johnson Oatman, Jr. (1898)
1. I am tired of the syndrome of rising today and falling tomorrow. Father, help me stand firm in Your word.
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Lord, this month, please turn my past, point of mockery and shame into my glory announcer.
2. My life, relationship with God, glory, business, career, family, and the Church; receive divine turnaround!
3. Any day of the week used to curse me and the works of my hands. I redeem you by the blood of Jesus!
YOUR SUDDEN RISE SHALL MOVE MANY TO CHRIST!
