A DIVINE CHAMPION
1 Samuel 17:41-51 (50) – So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him. (NIV)
A champion is one who wins a contest, and he or she is called a victor. In our Bible reading, David was the one who won the contest against Goliath. David defeated the giant, who threatened to give his body to the fowls of the air and the beasts of the field. The divine part of the story is that it was God who orchestrated David’s victory. The Almighty God is always committed to watching over those who trust in Him, and He transforms them into divine champions like David.
As we enter the year 2022 in a few days, rest assured that, like David, the Lord can empower you to be a winner if you put Him first. When God goes ahead of you, every step you take will showcase the strength of an overcomer as you break outstanding records. David, a divine champion, said in Psalms 18:29, “For by You, I can run against a troop”. In the same manner, I decree over your life that throughout next year, you will not even need to fight battles because you are more than a conqueror, in Jesus’ name.
Beloved, I encourage you to join us in fasting and praying towards 2022. The theme of the programme is “Divine Champions”. There is power in prayer, and as you partake in this spiritual exercise, you shall receive God’s seal for victors. Congratulations!
