WHAT IS LIFE?

Everyone has a life to live, and whatever a person does or achieves during a lifetime is used to describe them. However, the certainty about life is that death is constant to all, regardless of rank or accomplishments. King Solomon, the wisest man who wrote the Bible text for today, was so wealthy that in a single year, he received 18.1 kilograms of gold as gifts (1 Kings 10:9-29) and gave thousands of burnt offerings to God in a day. Despite these riches, Solomon soon realised that life is vanity because death is inevitable!
Earlier this month, the United Kingdom marked the second year of remembrance of the late Queen Elizabeth II, and this triggered a moment of reflection. As glorious as the monarch was, she was not buried with her sceptre or possessions. Everything that represented her royal authority was taken away. The Church and her family recognised the sovereignty of the Almighty God and were reminded that all creations are subject to death.
Beloved, while it is good to make money, build mansions, get certificates, or acquire fame, the fact is that life is vain. Once a fellow dies, their fate is sealed. Therefore, giving your life to Jesus, using your talent or career to honour God and blessing others would ensure you make the most significant impact of a lifetime (Philippians 1:27-30). Among other things, consciously tell someone about the good news of Christ daily. By this, you will be fulfilling the divine purpose of your existence.

1. Father, give me the grace to live a holy life as I fulfil my divine purpose and strive to make it to Heaven.

1. I refuse to live a life of vanity. I shall live a life of praise and impact in my generation.
2. Father, cancel every conspiracy to silence me, my family, and the Church.
3. Father, cancel every major assassination attempt in my nation and against my loved ones.
