WHAT KINGS SEEK FOR!
Daniel 2:46-49 (48) – Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts; and he made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief administrator over all the wise men of Babylon. (NKJV)
Read: Genesis 41:41-46
While the world often associates King Nebuchadnezzar with negativity, his understanding of the role of intellectual assets in building systems and economies is noteworthy. This profound knowledge laid the foundation for his government. Today’s Bible text confirms that Nebuchadnezzar enrolled the best brains, Daniel and friends, in his kingdom structure. King Pharaoh had a similar mindset. After seeing Joseph’s qualities, he quickly amended Egypt’s constitution to accommodate the young man.
Every major organisation and nation yearns for the Daniels and Josephs. There is a spiritual dimension that enabled these men to demonstrate excellence in dispelling their gifts. They loved the Lord and maintained intimacy with Him. Daniel said, “I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king’s matter.” (Daniel 2:23).
Joseph also paid the price of diligence and fear of God. He put God first, and the divine orchestration of his gifts led to his promotion. When you make God your priority, He grants you wisdom for the present and continually reveals His mind and solutions to physical issues. These manifestations are what kings seek, regardless of their wickedness.
Proverbs 22:29 says, “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” Beloved, as you commit to diligence in your walk with God, nations will seek what you have, and you will use that medium for the kingdom.
PRAYER
Hymn: Take My Life, and Let it Be – Frances R. Havergal (1874)
1. Father, help me deepen my intimacy with You so that I can access the realm of revelation.
2. Father, let my gifts speak for me, all to Your glory!
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Spend time praying in the Holy Ghost until you have consciousness of satisfaction.
IT IS WELL WITH YOU!
