RECOVER ALL
Psalms 46:1-3 (1)
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (KJV)
Read: 1 Samuel 30
In today’s Bible reading, after the Amalekites raided and took many people away as captives, David was very disturbed because his men thought of stoning him. But he found strength in God and asked, “Shall I pursue these raiders? Will I overtake them?” And God replied, “Pursue them; you will overtake them and succeed.” David and his men immediately took off to recover everything, and nothing was missing or broken, as they even had plenty to share with the communities.
Beloved, to recover all you lost, there are a few steps to learn from David. The first is to seek divine guidance. David sought God and held to His Word. God has plans for you amidst every situation; you must hear from Him before attempting to recover all that was lost. This is because, without divine backing and direction, victory in life and warfare is not guaranteed.
The second step is to take the action. Work hard, and with God’s help, you will get your possessions back. Lastly, in 1 Samuel 30:13, David refused to kill the slave of the Amalekite who they met on their mission, and the man led them to their enemies’ camp. Always keep your spiritual and physical antenna open in November 2024, and be sensitive because God can use anything or anyone to speed up your restoration.
Above all, as the key text reveals, God is the source of all strength. David waited on the Lord and was encouraged. In the same way, rely on God’s power to recover everything lost between January and October. All your plans and expectations will find fulfilment in Jesus’ name.
