A CHAMPION BY GOD (Part 2)
1 Samuel 17:41-51 (50) – So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him. (NIV)

A champion is a fellow who wins a contest. In the Scripture focus for today, Goliath, the Philistine giant, threatened to give David’s body to the fowls of the air and the beasts of the field, but it was the little boy who won the face-off. David did not only emerge as a champion; he did come out of the battle as a divine champion. The divine part is that it was God who orchestrated his victory.
The Almighty God is always committed to watching over those who trust in Him, and He transforms them into divine champions like David. As we coast towards another year-end, rest assured that the Lord can empower you to be a winner if you put Him first. David said in Psalms 18:29, “For by You, I can run against a troop”. When God goes ahead of you, you will break outstanding records, and every step you take will showcase the strength of an overcomer.
Beloved, in the same manner that David prevailed, I decree over your life that throughout your days on earth, you will never need to fight battles because you are more than a conqueror. Every force that confronts you shall be defeated, and you will shine forth in glory. Therefore, keep praying and studying the Word. You shall receive answers to your prayers. Congratulations!
