THE CYCLE OF LIFE
Matthew 7:24-27 (25) – And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. (KJV)
Read: John 14:27, 16:33
Life moves in cycles. As Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 teaches, there is a time for everything under the sun: good and bad, success and failure, peace and conflict, joy and sorrow, life and death. In as much as there is life, the concept of cycles will apply. To prevail through these two phases of life, faith in God and strength are required.
The parable of the wise and foolish builders illustrates this point perfectly. The Bible focus for today reveals that the wise builder’s house, founded on a rock, stood firm in the storm. On the other hand, the foolish man’s house collapsed because it was built on the sand. The rock symbolises Christ, who is the only solid foundation, while the sand represents unreliable alternative grounds.
Beloved, everyone will certainly be faced with these cycles at one point in life. However, placing your trust in Christ ensures you can overcome whatever challenges you face—whether in health, career, marriage, relationships, or other areas. Be encouraged to lay aside every weight of discouragement and tell all to Jesus. He will save and shield you from every harsh reality (John 14:27).
