IF ONLY YOU CAN CRY OUT
Matthew 14:29-31 (30) – But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted. (NLT)
Read: John 14:14
In today’s Bible text, Peter was walking on the sea when the wind became so turbulent that he began to sink. But he did not pretend everything was okay. Instead, Peter screamed, “Lord, save me!” Immediately, Jesus stretched out his hand and rescued him. Proverbs 18:10 says, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” Regardless of the nature of your situation, don’t keep quiet when you can pray to God. There is safety available to anyone who will call on Jesus!
On the other hand, to attract God’s swift attention, you must have no alternative source to him, like the man at the Pool of Bethesda who said to Jesus, “I have no one to help me into the pool…” (John 5:7). This man received his healing because he was helpless, desperate, and spoke out. Oftentimes, desperation leads to manifestation. When you find yourself engulfed in the sea of sorrows, confusion, loneliness, stagnation, and marital crisis, your desperation in prayer can serve as the key to your liberation. Cry out to God with all your heart, and He will hear you!
In addition, you can speak to trusted people who can be of help to you and guide you in the way. A sealed mouth is a closed destiny. Don’t be quiet!
PRAYER
Hymn: I Must Tell Jesus — Elisha A. Hoffman (1894)
1. Father, I need urgent intervention in my spiritual life, health, career, and marriage. Please, show up for me!
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Holy Ghost, terminate the pattern of shame and affliction in my life, family, and the Church.
2. Every situation in my life (mention) that is disfiguring my destiny—receive a divine solution!
3. Father, unblock every channel of blessings to my life, family, and ministry.
YOU WILL NOT KNOW A BETTER YESTERDAY
