PRIDE GOETH BEFORE A FALL
Isaiah 14:14 – “I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.” (NIV)

What today’s Bible text tells us about Satan is how highly placed he once was. He was relevant to God’s formations until he began to exercise pride. The devil planned to exalt himself above God by ascending into the heavens to raise his throne over God’s stars, but he was cast down. The problem with the world began with pride, and it continues to haunt humanity. People want to be seen, heard and praised ahead of God. But the Almighty God does not share His glory with anyone or any idol.
Beloved, as you journey on in life, know that it is not about you or your possessions but about reflecting God’s glory. Whenever you attribute your achievements to your own strength, you take the glory for yourself, and that is pride! Don’t work against God’s ultimate agenda, because when you disobey His Word, you are equally joining Satan in rebelling against God’s kingdom.
I encourage you to examine yourself today and ask for divine mercy in the areas where you have become arrogant. The Lord Jesus will restore you and breathe afresh on you. God bless you!
