THE SECRET OF THE NIGHT
Mark 13:32-35 (33) – Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. (KJV)

There are no exceptions to when a Christian should pray. A child of God must learn to exercise their spirit by praying at midnight. This is not only because Jesus prayed all night but also because midnight is a “witching hour.” The hours of the night are often when evil powers converge to make decisions and execute their plans. Matthew 13:25 says, “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.” Don’t be too relaxed and ignorant of the schemes of darkness. As read in today’s text, be watchful through prayers both during the day and at midnight!
Staying awake in the place of prayer all night gives strength and boosts the chances of victory over strong enemies. This is because you are training your body for spiritual warfare and can activate God’s judgement on the adversary with the help of the Holy Spirit. There was a woman targeted by a Satanic association because she ran a deliverance ministry. At midnight, this coven sent a bird to attack her first son, but this woman was praying. Suddenly, an angel struck the evil creature, and it transformed into a human, only to be mobbed by an outraged crowd.
There are other victories accomplished at midnight, as recorded in the Scriptures. In Judges 16:3, Samson rooted out the doors of the city in the middle of the night. Sennacherib also lost 185,000 men at night in favour of the children of God (2 Kings 19:35-37). Beloved, make praying always and at night your hobby; it is a major source of power and victory. More importantly, do you know that the bridegroom (Jesus) will return at midnight (suddenly when people are unaware)? Are you ready?
