THE LOST SAILOR!
Isaiah 59:1-2 (1) – Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. (NIV)
Read: Isaiah 41:10-14; 43:2
Jordan got dehydrated and injured his shoulder when his boat capsized on the North Carolina Sea. His inability to repair the boat’s broken mast and navigation systems got him stranded on the sea. To survive, he fed on fish and drank rainwater daily for 2 months and 4 days when he was found by German sailors who were amazed at how he survived in perfect health. In his CNN interview, Jordan said, “Finally, God answered my prayers right before I ran out.”
During Jordan’s disappearance, his family believed they had lost him, but his father said, “I never ceased to pray, and God heard my cry.” Prayer is the key! It is crucial to remain constant in communication with God for yourself and for others as you navigate the challenges of life, business, marriage, or ministry. As 1 Corinthians 10:13 reveals, God will never subject you to more suffering than you can endure; it is prayer that provides the strength necessary to endure the challenges, just as Jordan was able to survive.
Beloved, it is possible that your current situation seems similar to that of Jordan, requiring immediate intervention. If you raise your hand in prayer and surrender to Jesus, He will pull you out of the dungeons of life and into His realm of magnificent wonders. God is able to do this because, as the Bible text for today reads, His arm is not weak to carry you, nor is He deaf to your words as much as your ways are righteous.
PRAYER OF DECREE
Hymn: Jesus Saves – Priscilla J. Owens (1882)
1. Lord Jesus, I raise my hands in total submission to You. Please, pardon my sins and past atrocities (confess). Rescue me from regret (guilt), sorrow, failure, sickness, joblessness, and debts (mention). Thank you, Jesus!
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Spend time praying in the Holy Ghost.
