FAITH
Hebrews 11:6 – And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (NIV)
Read: Mark 9:23-25
The Bible reading for today confirms that God responds to the faith of genuine seekers. Abraham was childless at 75 when God gave him the promise of fathering nations. In Genesis 15:5-6, God told Abraham, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them, so shall your offspring be. Abraham believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness”, and God fulfilled the promise.
Abraham’s story shows that God values faith because it is the foundation for any concrete reality, whether in the spiritual or physical realm. Christ emphasised the importance of faith when He said in Matthew 17:20, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” No doubt, faith is the antidote to any impossibility!
Beloved, are there any issues or divine promises you find difficult to believe? If any, until you exercise your faith, it might be impossible to see the manifestation of the expectation. With your little faith, you can trigger a shift in heaven and among the affairs of men for your favour. Maybe you have tried everything you could to trust God on a matter, but all to no avail. You need the Holy Spirit to help you overcome your unbelief. Tell God to move you to the level where your faith becomes limitless. At this point, you will enjoy the undiluted dimension of the Abrahamic blessings!
