KNOW YOUR GOD!

Matthew 15:8

When random activities supersede the core purpose, there is bound to be a misalignment. Placing more emphasis on physical abilities and religiousness than the creator leads to spiritual futility. This is why the most spiritually active people are often the most minor beneficiaries of the dividends of serving God.

Modern Christians show off what they are not inwardly. People camouflage to make others believe they are up there with God, whereas the Almighty knows who is genuine. Many claim to serve and revere God, but their hearts are far from Him. Brothers and sisters still crush themselves and show a lack of accountability to each other. This is what today’s Bible reading exemplifies: that outward appearance and expressions are not enough. Instead, God observes and evaluates the innermost thoughts and feelings.

Beloved, this is a call for you to check whether you are in good standing with God. There are shocking revelations to be witnessed at Christ’s return. Will your case be a negative shock or bring glory to heaven? What is the consistency of your walk with God and prayer life?

The antidote to every spiritual error is to “know your God.” This knowledge comes from your thirst for God, Bible study, consistency in prayer, and living a life of holiness. When you know your God, you won’t fall for fleshly activities but will have your eyes of understanding opened, as Paul prayed in Ephesus. Enough of the disconnection from God. Know your Father, because the time will come when God separates His children from strangers.
