GOD’S INTERVENTION
Exodus 14:30 – That day the LORD saved Israel from the hands of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians lying dead on the shore. (NIV)
Read: Exodus 14:23-31
Today’s Bible reading gives an account of when Pharaoh and his men chased the Israelites in order to bring them back into captivity. At the Red Sea, God stepped in to part ways for the deliverance of His children and for the destruction of the Egyptians. When God intervenes, He does so in grand style to save His people at the expense of the enemy.
God can also intervene to turn an enemy into a friend of the person they originally attacked. Proverbs 16:7 says, “When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies be at peace with him.” What this means is that when God fights for a person, regardless of what the attacker does, their efforts will fail. Therefore, the enemy would have no choice but to make peace with God’s child so as not to perish.
Beloved, are you on the Lord’s side and living to please Him? This is because only those who honour God will experience His intervention and prevail over adversity. When you live a life of holiness, you will become God’s favourite, like Israel, and any enemy who rises against you will trigger their own destruction or eventually become your friend. I encourage you to be intentional in your walk with God, and you will enjoy constant divine intervention.
