LESSONS FROM DAVID
Psalm 23:4-6 (4) – Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (KJV)
Read: Galatians 6:17
In today’s Bible focus, David declared that he would remain unmoved and unafraid despite his unfavourable experiences, knowing that God would provide comfort and stability. Based on when God delivered him from Goliath and Saul, David was confident in God’s ability to shield him and secure his people. What is yet exceptionally significant about David is that he was an addicted lover of God and a man of praise. This was why God often showed up for David and prepared a table before him to shame his adversaries.
Beloved, the God of David is still the same in this era. If you make Him your cornerstone, He can do much more for you. Therefore, focus on the Lord and have faith in His ability to protect you, even in the midst of a turbulent storm. Whenever it appears the enemies are winning, just as David rested in God, you must exercise your faith by praying, offering praises, and studying the Word to become victorious. In summary, consciously live in God’s reality, and He shall cause His face to shine on you.
PRAYER
Hymn: He Leadeth Me – Joseph H. Gilmore (1862)
1. I receive grace to wait on God to praise and chase after Him like David.
2. I decree over my life that God shall cause me to prevail over my relentless enemies.
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. I receive the power to make righteousness my lifestyle and watchword.
2. I shall enjoy mercy, abundance, rest, restoration, revival, and divine revelation.
3. Holy Ghost, empower me not to be too big for correction.
4. The aggression of the wicked over our nations, family, and the Church be neutralised.
“I declare that I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hence, let nobody, principalities, contrary family patterns, sicknesses, and curses trouble me.” (Galatians 6:17)
