LIVING YOUR PURPOSE
Luke 12:7 – Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. (NIV)
Read: Luke 12:6-7
There is an appointed time and a purpose for every one of God’s creatures. Never think that you are worthless because today’s Bible reading further shows how precious you are to God, so that He numbered your hair. Now that you know that you exist for a reason, the next step is to understand what’s on God’s mind for you as you navigate your path in destiny. Whether things seem right or confusing, you must know what God is saying concerning your life and future. This can be discerned when you deliberately stick to God. The question is, “How do you stick to God and follow His plan?”
1. Be genuinely saved, having a deep conviction.
2. Make prayer a habit: God is sensitive to your supplications, and He speaks in response to the prayer. So, communicate with the Father regularly and maintain a posture of reception.
3. Follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance and adopt a lifestyle of fasting and prayer.
4. Be patient, because everything has its time. If it took God 7 days to complete the work of creation, you should wait for your time!
5. Study and live by the Word of God because you need the Word to conquer the world.
6. Work hard and diligently. Where Romans 8:28 says that all things work together for those who love God, there is an element of work in it. It takes grace, diligence, and purposeful effort to love and please God, which triggers a performance.
7. Give thanks always because it is God’s will.
PRAYER
Hymn: I Need Thee Every Hour – Robert Lowry (1872)
1. Holy Spirit, please make it easy for me to obey divine principles in order to fulfil my purpose.
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Spend quality time asking the Holy Spirit to baptise you with grace for the season of glory that is ahead.
2. My life, mailbox, and bank account—receive good news.
3. Jesus! The great physician, please set me free from every affliction.
