THE GEESE!
Romans 12:10 – Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. (NIV)
Read: Titus 3:1-4, John 13:34-35, Matthew 22:34-40, Ephesians 4:1-16, Romans 12:1-21, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
A goose is a water bird with a longer neck and shorter beak. Canadian geese are distinct from other geese because they fly in a ‘V’ shaped formation to support each other. Another unique feature of these geese is that whenever their leader gets tired, it quietly falls behind while another goose takes over without conflict.
There are crucial lessons to learn from these amazing creatures. In your places of work or community, do you work in line with the rules? Are you known for looking after others? After all, the Bible text for today urges everyone to be hospitable, such as the geese would occasionally honk (shout) to encourage those in front to keep pace because they are united in one purpose. Do you also share common goals with your spouse and family or team? As a leader or subordinate, do you give room for suggestions, self-assessment, and further improvement?
In conclusion, when a goose is injured (unwell), two geese descend to stay with it until it recovers or dies. Do we share and comfort others in challenging times? This is because God is banking on you as you journey in life. Therefore, work on these vital questions in line with fulfilling God’s commands as you live blissfully in Christ.
PRAYER
Hymn: Jesus Loves Even Me — Philip P. Bliss (1870)
1. Father, empower me to live like Christ and love at all times.
2. Lord Jesus, please help my helpers so they may remember me. Thereby, I can help others!
3. Please pray for others (families, friends, the Church, nations, our ministry, and myself)
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Every curse and covenant, bringing instability and shame into my life, be destroyed.
2. Father, concerning this issue (mention), let protocols be broken and let me sing a new song this weekend.
3. Ask for 3 ‘Hard Things’ you desire to testify about before December 1.
MAKE IT A PRAYER-FILLED WEEKEND!
