REPROACH TO GLORY
Job 42:10-13 (10) – After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. (NIV)
Read: Job 1:1-3, 2:9-10
A reproach is a disgraceful and miserable situation. Job is an example of someone who suffered great reproach. The man was exceedingly wealthy but tried by the devil, who took everything he had. However, according to our Scripture focus, God restored Job double-fold, and he became more famously rich. In 1 Samuel 17 (43-44), Goliath ridiculed the entire nation of Israel for days, but little David silenced the Philistine giant with Heaven’s backing. That day, Israel moved from a position of reproach to freedom, while David became a star for God.
I decree over your life and household that your shame or what is programmed to defeat you shall instead announce you to greatness. Every unpleasant circumstance concerning you has received an instant turnaround, and the Lord has moved you from pity to honour, in Jesus’ name.
Beloved, reproach is never of God and should not persist in the lives of genuine believers. Nevertheless, in trying times, every child of God must hold on to the Father as Job and David did. In the case of Job, despite the pressure to curse God for his predicament, he refused. David also never retreated but trusted in God, and with courage, he prevailed. Are you willing to trust the Lord to change your reproach to glory? If you believe He can do all things, you will tell Jesus about those issues in your life, career, and marriage. He will answer every prayer!
PRAYER
Hymn: I Must Tell Jesus – Elisha A. Hoffman (1894)
1. Father, please turn my shame to my glory announcer (mention).
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. I decree by divine authority, any mouth cursing me, dry up!
2. Father, give me a new wine and make me a vessel of honour for Your kingdom service.
3. Please pray for our ministry!
YOUR LIFE SHALL BE COLOURFUL AGAIN!
