THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS
Revelation 19:10B – Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” (NKJV)

Yesterday, we learnt about how John unconsciously attempted to worship the angel, who quickly cautioned him that they were both servants of God and were to worship only God. Today, we will seek to understand the second part of the angel’s statement, written out in the Bible text: “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
People often interpret this phrase to mean that sharing testimonies in the Church is a prophetic force that accelerates others’ miracles. However, the statement actually means that Christ’s truth and revelation are the foundation of all inspired teaching and interpretation of God’s will for the present and future. No doubt, Jesus is the reality of what is to come, which is why His testimony is the spirit of prophecy. This insight was what led John to write the Book of Revelation (a record of the end of time and how Christ will reign forever).
Beloved, let nobody deceive you. No prophecy can emerge without giving glory to Jesus, who is the Word and the centre of all things. Every prophecy given by prophets or anyone else, from the Old Testament till now, must attest to the lordship of Jesus and lead people to worship Him. Whoever acts contrary to this and gives prophecies to glorify themselves or other gods will face God’s wrath. Therefore, believe in Jesus and adore Him alone. He will fulfil His prophecy in your life and cause you to accomplish your purpose in destiny.

1. Father, help me to hold forth Your testimony and proclaim Your sovereignty to all nations.

1. Father, let Your testimony annul every false accusation and satanic judgement hanging over my life.
2. Father, please make Your prophecy a reality in my life, my family, my nation, and the Church.
3. By the blood of the lamb and His testimony, I declare my deliverance from all afflictions (mention).
