HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN
Isaiah 49:15 – Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. (KJV)
Read: Genesis 1:26
God created humans in His image and likeness. This makes human beings God’s priority because He made us His ambassadors and is committed to us. The Bible text for today confirms God’s commitment to humans: as it will be hard for a nursing mother to neglect her new-born child, God is saying that even if a mother could neglect her baby, as for Him, He will never forsake His children.
Beloved, what are your fears and worries? Maybe you feel God has forgotten you amidst those terrible situations. Hold on to His word in Isaiah 49:15 because the Lord Almighty will never forget you! The truth is that God’s intervention may seem slow, but rest assured that He is working things out.
Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you”. This means that God has a purpose for your life. Rejoice in this word of assurance because you have a Father who knew you before you were conceived and has plans for you. More importantly, continue to pray, be patient, refuse to move ahead of God, and be confident that you are God’s top choice. He will never rest until you have fulfilled your destiny.
PRAYER
Hymn: Jesus Loves Me – Anna Bartlett Warner (1859)
1. Thank God for His unfailing love and mighty embrace.
2. Father, because I am Your priority, please eliminate every sorry situation in my life (sickness, closed destiny, poverty, and reproach).
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. The garment of disappointment fashioned for me, my family, and the Church, catch fire!
2. Arrows of disgrace and untimely death, shot at me; go back to your sender!
3. I declare that my head, hands, and legs shall take me to my place of honour and destiny fulfilment.
