DON’T GRUMBLE, BUT THANK GOD!
Philippians 4:6-7 (6) – Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. (NLT)
Read: Psalms 34:1
It is often very tempting to murmur during times of confusion or predicament. This is due to the numerous questions lingering in the mind! “When shall I get my healing, my dream job, or my house? How will I get married, secure finances, or get a scholarship for my degree?” Many have also wondered what tomorrow holds and whether they can succeed in their destiny. In all these questions, God is also asking you, “How did you get to where you are today?” He goes on to say, “I assisted you before; I will surely help you again!”
In Luke 17:11-19, ten lepers were cleansed, but only one returned to say, “Thank you!” Jesus then told him, “Go thy way; you have become whole.” This implies that your testimonies may remain incomplete until you express gratitude to God. Whatever the circumstances, bless the name of the Lord for what you have today. Have faith, thank God in advance for what you are expecting, and praise Him afterwards for what you have received!
Beloved, as Apostle Paul admonishes in the Bible reading for today, whether it’s raining, dry, or in the sunshine, don’t worry; instead, pray continuously with thanksgiving. All will be well, and your testimony shall become permanent, in Jesus’ name.
