ATTENTION TO DETAILS
Proverbs 4:20 – My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. (NIV)

Most jobs today require that staff pay full attention to details, not only because it eliminates errors but also because it guarantees the attainment of goals. When Christ was on earth, He paid attention to details. Despite being the Messiah, He showed maximum focus and care for the saved and the lost. In John 4, when Jesus spoke to the woman at the well, He gave her detailed information about her marital experience. This revelation left the woman in awe, prompting her to start publicising Jesus.
In 2 Kings 5, when Naaman, who had leprosy, was to receive his healing, Prophet Elisha gave him specific instructions to wash seven times at the Jordan River. Naaman was unwilling to follow these instructions because of his status in the community, but nothing happened until he obeyed the directions.
Beloved, you must completely adhere to instructions in order to reap the benefits in Christ and His kingdom. As a child of God, you must obey certain Biblical principles. One of these is holiness. The Scriptures make it clear in Hebrews 12:14 that, without righteousness, nobody can see God. If you have been failing in your career or business, there are also recommendations in Joshua 1:8 to achieve good success in life.
The Bible reading for today clearly admonished that you should pay attention to what God is saying through the Holy Spirit about your situation and others. If you can’t hear Him, you must equip your prayer altar and silence the noises around you. On the other hand, if you need a fresh baptism of the Holy Ghost, ask the Father to release His spirit upon you. When the Holy Spirit comes, He will help you remain focused and obedient to the details!
