THAT ‘ONE’ HELPER!
Acts 9:11 – The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. (NIV)
Read: Acts 9:1-19
A divinely orchestrated piece of information or connection can provide a solution to any situation. In 2 Kings 5:1-19, the final push Naaman required for his deliverance came from an unlikely source. After Naaman had resolved not to go to River Jordan as Elisha prescribed, it was his maidservant who advised him to go. If God had not prompted her, she might have kept silent. Likewise, if the Lord had not stirred David’s mind to remember the house of Jonathan, Mephibosheth would have died in Lo Debar (2 Samuel 9).
The Bible reading for today detailed Saul’s encounter with God. After God spoke to him on his way to Damascus, Saul became blind and began praying. Meanwhile, God told Ananias to go over to lay hands on him, but because of Saul’s history of persecuting Christians, he was reluctant. However, God convinced him because he carried the anointing Saul needed to regain his sight and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
Beloved, there are people who hold the key to your blessings and advancement. Until the Holy Spirit inspires them in your direction, there will be no magic. The positive news is that the king’s heart is under God’s control. If you cry to the Lord to connect you with the one who has what you require for destiny, He will do it! However, the one seeking help must also be sensitive and receptive. May the Lord give you understanding.
PRAYER
Hymn: Showers of Blessing – Daniel W. Whittle (1883)
1. Father, please look in my direction today. I need divine help!
2. Lord, bring me into contact with people who carry the substance for my glory to manifest.
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Father, please make me a lender to nations.
2. I shall not be a victim of delayed help and false solutions.
3. Holy Spirit, cause me to recognise places of opportunities and increase!
